Pittman captures Jayne County, born Wayne Rogers, performing with her band, Wayne County & the Backstreet Boys, which played regularly at CBGB and Max’s Kansas City. She soon founded the proto-punk band Wayne County & the Electric Chairs which became known for their edgy glam punk sound and shocking stage antics. She is a trailblazing figure in American punk rock and rock's first openly transgender singer.
