Susan Schneider is an artist who works in paper, leather and fabric, transforming them into lampshades, home goods and wearable art. Shandell’s is where she creates exciting, original solutions that bring delight to everyday living.

Her particular specialty is custom lampshades, which she began making more than 20 years ago for customers’ antique and contemporary lamps. She offers her designs online and at her studio in Ashley Falls, Massachusetts, and collaborates with customers on custom projects large and small, from lighting solutions to custom papers for wallpapers, weddings, events, and gifts.

In addition, Susan is passionate about the ancient art of paper marbling, and hosts Sunday workshops in her studio in the Berkshires so that aspiring artists can explore the beauty of color and pattern.
