Based in Brighton, British artist and embroidery designer Ellie Mac has been creating and embroidering her own limited edition artworks, most notably her celebrated patches, since 2015–all with the aim of creating something new and exciting within the world of embroidery.

Mac creates her pieces with a freehand embroidery machine where each piece is drawn, freehand-machine embroidered, washed and then cut by hand. Her family background in sourcing vintage textiles features prominently in her inspiration and finished pieces, and often vintage fabrics and trims are incorporated in her work, resulting in special limited edition collections.
